What are Carma’s qualifications?
Carma has been teaching children for 18 years. It all started in 1991 when Carma’s Dance Creations opened its doors. As the years passed, Carma’s clients began to request that she offer additional services. In 2000, due to the high demand for these services, Carma’s Dance Creations changed its name to Carma’s Creations to allow a broader spectrum of services to be offered. These new services included: summer camp enrichment programs, birthday parties, and interactive school presentations. She added new classes to her thriving dance program as well. The classes added were: Mommy & Me, Kids in Motion, Fashion Show Production, and Theater Production. In 2007, Carma added From the Page to the Stage Play Production for children. The play productions taught in mini playshops (not workshops) are based on the children’s books Carma has written. This is Carma’s 10th year offering summer camps. Carma’s Creations is licensed and insured.

How are campers supervised?
Campers are supervised at all times and are escorted on restrooms breaks.

What are the drop off and pick up procedures?
Child safety is Carma’s Creations number one priority. In order to achieve this, you will need to enter the building and come to the camp room to sign your child in/out each day. This may not always be convenient; however, it is necessary to ensure your child’s safety. Your patience and cooperation on this matter is appreciated. If your emergency contact number has changed from the time you sent in the registration form, please inform Carma when you drop your child off in the morning.

Are all supplies included in my camp tuition?
Yes, all supplies are included for all 5 days.

How will I know what my child will be doing each day?
Carma will send home a letter on the first day of camp. This letter will list some important reminders as well as an overview of what campers will be participating in each day.

What does my child need to bring on the first day of camp?
Your child will need to bring: a water bottle, a snack and a lunch box with his or her name on it. Your child should wear comfortable clothes and shoes. You may want to send your child in with a light jacket in case the room is cool. All lunches are supervised by Ms. Carma in the camp room.

*Another lunch option: If you sign up for a camp held at Alamo Joe’s or Main Event, then you can order your child’s lunch directly from them. You will need to order daily, not weekly, and place/pay for the order each morning. Carma’s Creations will not be involved in the placing or payment of lunch orders.

What are the behavior expectations for campers?
Summer Camp is designed to be creative and fun; however, there are certain guidelines that need to be respected. This ensures that ALL campers will have a positive and memorable experience. Carma will post these expectations in her room. She will review these expectations with campers throughout the week. In the event of a severe behavior problem, Carma will contact you to pick up your child.

Do you provide child care before and after summer camp?
No. Carma’s Creations is renting space from Alamo Joe’s and Main Event for the summer camp hours of 10am-3pm. Campers can arrive 15 minutes prior to camp starting and must be picked up by 3:15pm. Many parents in the past have worked out car pool schedules to accommodate various work schedules. If you authorize another parent to pick up your child, Carma needs this authorization in writing notating the day(s) for this pick up. No child will be allowed to leave with anyone other than those authorized by the parents in written form.
